Layna Gamwell
My name is Layna Gamwell. I was born and raised in Florida and currently call Mount Dora home. I am a UCF Knight, where I graduated with both my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2013 and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program in 2017.
My medical career began in 2013 as a Nurse on a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). I truly loved working bedside as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and preceptor. I have always valued my nurse-patient relationships which inspired me to grow professionally and advance my career as a Nurse Practitioner in the aesthetic field in 2017.
Fast-forward to 2024, Matthew and I decided to jump in with both feet to start our own MedSpa here in our hometown. With this position I’m able to fulfill my passion allowing others to feel their best by restoring confidence and self-love. In addition to my aesthetic background I also have experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care and Internal Medicine focusing on 24-hour Observation and COVID management.
I owe my success to my family for giving me a strong foundation from the beginning and also my loving husband for encouraging me to reach for the stars. I remain strong in my faith and thank the Lord above for giving me the opportunity to help others feel whole.
Lastly, I enjoy traveling, staying active, soaking up the Florida sun, and spending time with my family. I am a wife to Matthew and a dog mom to my miniature dachshund, Weston.

First and foremost I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my Website. To understand where I am going we must first understand where I’ve been. I was born and raised here in Florida, and straight out of high school I decided to follow in my brothers footsteps and become a Firefighter/EMT. I’m proud to say after 14yrs of service I still enjoy what I do. With such a passion to help others it was only fitting that I go back to school to get my Nursing License. After graduating I immediately found a position in my local Emergency Room where I functioned as a Critical Care Nurse over the next 3yrs.
This brings me to today, and why I’ve chosen to start an IV Therapy business. My passion in Healthcare stems from my one on one interactions with my patients. Having the opportunity to care for someone on such a personal level brought purpose and meaning to what I do on a daily basis. I began to notice that medicine and healthcare as a whole was REACTIVE and not PROACTIVE. They were simply prescribing a magic pill which only temporarily masks the symptoms of a truly sick individual. We weren’t treating the core problems and we definitely weren’t preventing them. That’s when I began to do my own research and I stumbled across the benefits of IV Therapy and Hydration.
